The Republican War on Science
So we’ve found a very illuminating map which details the level of darwinism vs. creationism being taught in schools throughout the country. For the most part, it plays out just as your liberal bias would suggest, but I’ll admit to being surprised that North and South Carolina tipped the scales in a rather surprising and positive direction.
This reminded me about a lecture I saw by a journalist named Chris Mooney. He wrote a book called The Republican War on Science, and amongst other frightening facts, it details the ways in which the current administration has done away with reputed scientists in favor of “think tanks” created to introduce scientific controversy where there really is none.
